New Cultural and Gastronomy Center Established in Girne

The Bandabulya Gastronomy and Culture House Project in Girne aims to revitalize cultural and gastronomic activities in the region. A protocol was signed between the Prime Ministry, the relevant ministries, and the Turkish Cypriot Women Entrepreneurs Association (GİKAD). This collaboration is seen as a significant step towards ensuring the sustainability of the project.
The protocol includes the provision of necessary industrial kitchen equipment by the Ministry, which will be allocated to GİKAD. This will provide the infrastructure needed for women entrepreneurs to realize their potential in the gastronomy sector. It presents a great opportunity for local women to increase their economic independence.
Girne is known for its historical and cultural richness. The gastronomy and culture house project will further highlight these assets. The implementation of the project will create a new attraction for both locals and tourists, enhancing the region's tourism potential and contributing to the local economy.
With the opening of the gastronomy and culture house, various events, workshops, and exhibitions are planned. These activities will be open to both locals and visitors. The project will also create an important platform for supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs.
GİKAD aims to encourage women to take a more active role in business with this project. Training programs and mentoring opportunities are expected to strengthen women entrepreneurs further. The project is anticipated to contribute significantly to the development of entrepreneurship skills among young women.
The Bandabulya Gastronomy and Culture House Project has the potential to create a social transformation beyond being merely an economic initiative. Steps taken to preserve and enrich cultural heritage will enhance social solidarity and contribute to the strengthening of local identity.
