Health Workers' Response in the Disaster

During a press conference held in Lefkoşa, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel praised the dedication of health workers following the recent disaster. He emphasized the extraordinary efforts made by all public and private health personnel.

Üstel noted that throughout the disaster, 139 doctors and approximately 200 nurses and other health workers were on duty, providing quick and effective services. He shared that as of today, 131 out of 132 hospitalized victims have been discharged.

He also reported that the health condition of one patient still receiving treatment is improving rapidly. This situation underscores the resilience of the health system and the professionalism of the health workers involved.

The Prime Minister remarked on the critical role health workers play during such crises and expressed the community's gratitude towards them. He stressed the importance of strengthening the health system and supporting health workers.

Moreover, he indicated the need to create plans for the sustainability of health services following the disaster. He highlighted that such events offer significant lessons in terms of education and preparedness.
