Student Transport Services Not to Commence, Says Kar-İş

The Turkish Cypriot Modern Public Transport Operators Association (Kar-İş) has made a significant decision to not commence student transport services this year. The association emphasized the importance of prioritizing children's safety and stated that necessary solutions for establishing a sustainable transport system have not yet been found.
To prevent recurring issues experienced in the past, Kar-İş decided against starting any transportation activities this year. Fuat Topaloğlu, the president of the association, made a written statement highlighting the lack of necessary measures to ensure safe student transport. This situation has become a significant concern for families and students alike.
Topaloğlu expressed that establishing a secure transport system is not only a necessity but also critically important for the future of children. The decision to halt student transport services may lead to discussions among educational institutions and families.
Kar-İş stated that it will continue to propose solutions during this process and will work to improve the transport system. The association aims to collaborate with authorities to exert efforts in creating a safe transport infrastructure.
The suspension of student transport services adds an extra burden for families who struggle with school commutes, and it is emphasized that more efforts are needed to resolve this situation.
Topaloğlu stressed the need for all stakeholders to come together and work collaboratively to address the issues surrounding student transport. In this context, it is suggested that families, educational institutions, and the transport sector must cooperate effectively.
