Istanbul Technical University, TRNC Education-Research Campuses

On January 19, 2008, the Framework Protocol for the Establishment of Istanbul Technical University's Education-Research Campuses in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus (ITU-TRNC) was signed. In the 2011-2012 academic year, the Preparatory School of Foreign Languages became operational, and infrastructure work began for undergraduate programs. In September 2012, the education and training activities started for the programs of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering, Marine Engineering, and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Undergraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Economics and Finance, Architecture, Maritime Business Administration, Interior Architecture, and Industrial Engineering were approved and began admitting students in the 2021-2022 academic year.
