House-Museum of the Whirling Dervishes

Dervish Museum in Nicosia Located just behind the Kyrenia Gate in the İbrahim Paşa quarter of Nicosia, the Mevlevi Tekke is one of the island's most important historical and religious buildings, although not widely known to mainstream tourists.

The building, specifically designed for gatherings of the Sufi brotherhood or Islamic mystics, served as a place of spiritual retreat (tekke) and was used by the Mevlevi Order. It now functions as a museum.
