Apostolos Andreas Monastery, at the very tip of the Karpaz Peninsula near Cape Apostolos Andreas, is an important pilgrimage centre. Dedicated to the Apostle Andrew, it is both a sacred visiting point for Orthodox Christians and the natural end of the Karpaz route. It underwent a comprehensive restoration in recent years.
Its sea-facing courtyard, church and serene atmosphere make for a peaceful visit. It is ideal to plan on the same day as Golden Beach. The last kilometres are a narrow road; it is best to bring water and snacks and to dress modestly.
