Kyrenia Harbour is the most atmospheric corner of North Cyprus. The stone buildings ringing the horseshoe-shaped bay were once carob warehouses; today most have become boutique hotels, cafés and fish restaurants. Moored fishing boats and sailing yachts in the foreground, with the silhouette of Kyrenia Castle behind, make a classic Mediterranean postcard.
By day the harbour is a quiet coffee stop; by evening it becomes a lively dining and strolling spot. Walking along the quay you will see boat-trip offers and, in season, day cruises to nearby coves. After sunset, when the lights come on, the harbour takes on a completely different mood.
